Same furniture – New Floor and Fireplace!

This renovation was completed once again by Kylie M Interiors and B Gallant Homes.

The travertine fireplace was altered by putting in a new insert and using ledgestone on the face.  Gorgeous handscraped wood floors and soothing wall colours complimented the beautiful Nanoose Bay view and the homeowners existing furnishings.

Fireplace Makeovers

This is a mix of fireplace makeovers.  Most are budget friendly and manageable for a half-handy homeowner.  The only ones that are costly are the first set of B & A’s and the very last photo.  The rest – manageable (you better believe it sister!)  Painted mantels, accessories, easy to use tile and bbq paint  – these are all things that you can do to update your outdated or butt-ugly Fireplace.

Modern Family Space

This livingroom was original to it’s 1994 roots.  It just needed a refresher to make it more modern and stylized to this young family’s tastes and needs.  The homeowner did the fireplace remodel on her own to save on the budget – great job!  Once again, flat black BBQ paint saved the day to remove the brass finish on the fireplace surround.  By using neutral colours we were able to accent with a saucy orange as well as a rich chocolate brown.  A beautiful family photo display balances the fireplace as well as showing off the beautiful kids!
