And the walls came down(Uplands)
These homeowners found that they were only living in a portion of their home. Due to the awkward layout, the kitchen and familyroom were
used 99% of the time while the diningroom and livingroom were being unused. By removing walls (non-supporting of course!) we were able to open up the space so that all areas of the main floor can be used to their full potential. With the thoughtful placement of pot lights, beautiful backsplash, gorgeous wood floors and espresso wood cabinets we were are able to offer the client exactly what they were looking for. Project completion by Kylie M Interiors and B Gallant Homes. The next thing on their project list will be the fireplace – can’t wait to see it!
Now I managed to delete all of the “before” shots of this project (bah!), but luckily my client had a few kicking around so atleast you’ll get the basic idea.
Please click on one of these images to view an enlarged slideshow display of this project. To give you your bearings, you’ll see that in the 1st photo there is a stove – the wall was removed behind there and that’s where the island/sink is now.
